When I was younger, I would while away the afternoon painting mauve sunsets and orange tinged landscapes using watercolours so you can imagine my excitement when I discovered The School was running a Watercolour 101 class in Sydney. I jumped at the chance of rediscovering my love of watercolour and it gave me the perfect excuse to try another creative venture. It was a beginners class for adults and kids so was perfect for me and illustrated the fact that one anyone can master this medium. It was fun to dabble in colour and try out various methods of painting and although I may not have produced a masterpiece, it made me realise how much I enjoy (and miss) painting.
